Working in the military is a job the requires a lot of different
technology, assistance and support from other humans as well as from new
advancements and inventions. Creating or helping to produce the most efficient
soldier is one of mankind’s biggest competitions since the beginning of time.
From using stone tools, to harnessing fire, to creating Kevlar, new ideas for inventions and
technology has pushed us farther through evolution and enabled us to do things
that were unimaginable a few decades ago. Defences in the military are crucial
to protecting our resources, whether they are human resources or natural resources. A couple ideas
for inventions that might strengthen the military defences I came
across during my research are “wearable robots”, which would enable soldiers to
move faster and be more efficient. I believe this idea is
one that will shape the future of not only military defences, but also human
assistance and prosthetics, the need for wheelchairs could be reduced. The goal
is to be able to enable the average marine or soldier to run the four-minute
